When should I see a physiotherapist?
In the case of musculoskeletal injuries, the physiotherapist will often possess a more extensive set of skills and is able to offer “hands on” treatment. However, your physiotherapist is unable to prescribe medication such as anti-inflammatory drugs, so if these are required they will refer you to your doctor.
What is a physiotherapist?
A physiotherapist is a professional qualified to treat disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise.
